Fabulix 2019

Fabulix is an International Film Biannual for Fantasy and Fairytale films hosted by the City Annaberg-Buchholz in Germany. For Fabulix 2019 I was asked to create a tryptich to decorate the old Jugendstiel swimming bath during the festival.

Each picture was between 2x3m and I decided to use plastic as they were installed over the three large windows. This enabled the pictures to appear like stained glass in the day, and differant at night.

For the motive I chose to depict a semi figurative Erzgebirge landscape with the Moon on the left, the light slowly getting brighter as it passed over to the Sun on the right. Three months before I was given a large barn to use as a studio to create this large installation.

Here are a few photos to illustrate this period and the final tryptich.

May I simply say what a relief to uncover an individual who actually understands what they’re talking about online. You certainly know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More and more people should look at this and understand this side of your story. It’s surprising you’re not more popular because you surely possess the gift.
